What's happining in Yemen?
As of 2016, one of the worst famines in over a century has been taking
place in a middle eastern country known as Yemen.
-Every ten minutes, a child dies in Yemen, on average, according to the U.N. more than 400,000 children are starving. Another 1.5 million are acutely malnourished and need aid to survive.
-Yemen is characterized as a failed state with the high necessity of transformation.
-Yemen is currently a vary dangerous destination for potential travelers. Visiting Yemen can end in you geting seriously hurt or killed.
-A brutal civil war raging in Yemen has claimed more than 16,000 lives and left 13 million people on the brink of starvation.
-More than 80 percent of Yemen's population lives in poverty as of 2018.
-An estimated 85,000 may have died from extreme hunger or disease since the war in Yemen.
This website was created to inform others about one of the worst humanitarian crisis' in over a century. Little coverage is being done about the catasthrophic events going on in Yemen and we're here to help pave to way towards a national focus on the man-made famine created in Yemen. The process may be long and difficult to fully restore Yemen's economic, society, and government structure but it's not impossible and as they say, it takes a village.
